Supporting CAFT Ladies Luncheon at Mere Golf Resort and Spa Hotel

The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) is based at the beautiful Booth Bank Farm, a 17th Century farmhouse set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. They provide a variety of programmes for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West.
The needs of the children visiting The Adventure Farm range from complex and severe physical and learning disabilities, sensory impairments and terminal illnesses through to children who act as Carers for a family member, those dealing with bereavement and children who have been victims of abuse.
The annual Ladies Lunch was attended by 350 guests on the 14th of June at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa. The Lunch now in its 13th year was more successful than ever and an amazing £46,000 was raised.

This year’s theme was James Bond and the room was decorated with “a view to a thrill” and tables were adorned with Goodie bags from Pulse of Perfumery Knutsford. Ladies were greeted on arrival with a Mere Royale – “stirred not shaken.” Stilt walkers from Gravity Live welcomed the guests whilst the reception hosted various competitions, shopping stalls and lavish pampering treatments.

Taking pride of place in the entrance was an Aston Martin which was donated by Aston Martin Wilmslow for a lucky raffle-prize winner to use exclusively for a weekend.

Following the reception, the ladies sat down to an afternoon of food, prize giving, auctions, and entertainment all in a worthy cause.
