They say that the famous ‘milk cream’ was whipped up by Procopio, the inventor of gelato, in honour of the prince and future king Louis XV at another grand French castle – Chantilly. True to its passion for the 18th century and its perfumed, refined court, with its scent-embellished jewels, fans and even fountains, Marly has reinvented this very cosmetic note. Top Notes The Parfums de Marly signature citrus splash of mandarin, Italian bergamot and grapefruit – harbour a suave orange blossom and blackcurrant heart. Heart Notes A crisp, frosted, raspberry heart note is placed on an airy sweetness of chantilly cream and incredible marshmallow. Base Notes Musk mallow, used in the 18th century to perfume and powder hair, distills a fresh and clean feeling while warm and comforting musk creates an expansive petticoat or cocoon-like bubble.
