All night long the wind was blowing at a force of four or five, the sea was rough with waves of three to four metres. The beautiful eight-metre J-class sailing boat on which I was clinging to the rudder and trying to keep my course, bravely cut through this black, aggressive sea. At dawn, with the help of my travelling companion, we dropped anchor in the calm bay of Colombier in St Barths. The water was clear and immensely blue, exhausted I lay down on the teak deck.
